Our history

SanteBucciarelli was born in 1987 and by that time his grand father was already working in his estate in Bicciano, Casentino, where he focused on wine production quite successfully.

He received such a consensus that the winery became particularly famous and the Bucciarelli family had the honour of supplying the Royal Italian Army and iconic shops such as the one in Via Porta Rossa, Florence, just a few steps away from Ponte Vecchio.

The family also managed to establish a fruitful international trade relationship with the USA.

The great success occurred in the 1950s mostly thanks to an aromatised wine known as “SanteBucciarelli” that in Tuscany soon became synonym of vin santo, as the memoirs of his sister Anna Maria proves.

Since 1990 the company has been run by Claudio and Alessandra. What has allowed the maintenance of the brand value over 130 years have been a great respect for Tuscany’s traditions, passion and dynamism.

Technological innovations, the continuity of aromatic wines’ ancient recipes and the freshness of the youngest generation of producers, have rewarded the winery, which has strengthened its position in the Italian market and has become known and appreciated abroad as well.

Through the years Claudio and Alessandra has expanded the variety of wines, enriching their design with new elegant labels without ever distorting or modifying the traditional recipe in favour of the ancient flavours.
